RAV4 Hybrid vs CRV EX/EX-L

  • acceleration: RAV4 Hybrid wins over CRV, as RAV4 has electric motor while CRV has conventional motor, so RAV4 does not you step too deep onto gas as CRV does
  • safety driving features: about the same between the two
  • interior features: RAV4 is worse than CRV, for example, heated seat, remote starting are standard features for lower-end of CRV EX, but are available only to high-end RAV4 Hybrid
  • fuel economy: RAV4 Hybrid is obviously winner, however not significantly. For my 2017 CRV EX, life-time average MPG was 27, highway 35-40, local was less than 25. For Rav4 Hybrid, users reported actual MPG to be 30+, less than the advertised 40.
