How to transcribe YouTube Videos with no Transcripts

YouTube is a vast collection of videos of all types, a lot of them do not have transcripts unfortunately. Here is how I found out a method to automate the task of easily obtaining transcripts of a YouTube video without transcript.

I tried various methods including ChatGPT (first convert a YouTube video to MP3 file, then upload it to ChatGPT and ask it to transcribe), but did not get good result
I searched keyword "transcribe youtube video to text" using Google
in the search results, I found this Google Chrome extension called YouTube to Text, installed it and tried it out and it worked as expected. Please note: it does require you to login using a Google account before use, however, after login, it's free as of 7/2/2024.

Update as of 7/31/2024: YouTube to Text Chrome Extension is no longer free, its developers stopped its free usage period and started charging $3.99x12=$48 per year or $9 per month for using their service.
